Ever since I was a kid I was always fascinated with Search & Find Illustrations.
I'd spend hours looking not just for Waldo, but for all the tiny details that were added to the image and that made it come alive. All the small situations that made that chaotic environment dynamic and full of life. To be honest, that, for me, was the real fun in it.
As a lover of details and easter eggs, I think that was some part of me that wished for a project like this from the moment I decided to work with illustration.
And finally it came. Combining two of my favorite subjects: design and swimming, I built this project from the ground up. As if to make matters worse, I chose to do it a dollhouse style, making it, in essence, a series of search-&-finds inside a bigger search & find.
I spent a countless amount of hours designing, painting and refining every little detail in the gigantic illustration. Something that, surprisingly, I very much enjoyed doing.
